day bias

Define the market environment and your intended trade. The console reads everything else from these three calls.

Day verdict — your call on what kind of day this is ?Trend up = price is clearly climbing. Trend down = clearly falling. Chop = bouncing sideways going nowhere. Unclear = you can't tell. On chop and unclear days the best trade is no trade — pros sit out more days than beginners believe.

Setup ?Pullback = joining a trend when it dips. Sweep reclaim = entering after a fake breakout fails. Scalp = quick in-and-out for a small move (scalps skip the day-verdict rule). Swing = holding a bigger move for hours or days. Each one has its own lesson in the Academy — learn it before you select it.

No verdict yet. No TREND verdict, no entries — chop and unclear are flat positions.

Verify the conditions this setup requires. Each pass plugs another line into clearance.

Liquidity accounted for ?Liquidity = how many people are trading right now. During US day hours the market is crowded, so prices move honestly. Overnight it's nearly empty — prices can jump wildly for no reason and your orders fill at worse prices. Trading overnight isn't banned; it just needs smaller size and wider stops.
Reading session…
Price is moving, not stuck sideways ?Moving = price is clearly walking one direction, like stairs. Stuck = price bouncing in a box between the same two prices. Inside the box, everyone's stop losses pile up just outside its edges — and the market loves to grab them before really moving. Trade the stairs, never the box.
Clear direction, stair-stepping. Sideways box = wait for it to break out first.
Direction agrees with verdict ?If you called the day TREND UP, only LONG (buying) passes. If TREND DOWN, only SHORT (selling). Betting against your own read of the day is how good analysis turns into losing trades. Scalps are excused from this rule.
Set the read above.
AUTO
Entry is confirmed — no first pokes ?The first candle that breaks through an important price is the most likely to be fake. Confirmed means you waited: either the break held for another candle, or a fake break failed and price closed back where it came from. Patience here is the single biggest upgrade most traders can make.
The break held one more candle, or the fake-out failed and price closed back inside.
Stop is structural, not emotional ?Your stop loss should sit where your trade idea is proven wrong — past the last high or low — not at "whatever dollar amount feels okay to lose." A comfort-based stop sits inside the market's normal noise and gets hit even when you were right.
Past the swing plus a little buffer. Never a dollar amount picked for comfort.
Target is the next level — and it pays ?R = the distance to your stop. If your stop is 40 points away and your target is 100 points away, that's 2.5R — you win 2.5× what you risk. At 2.5R you only need to win 3 out of 10 trades to make money. If the target is closer than your minimum R, the trade isn't worth taking.
Level-to-level, minimum 2.5R.
Flat state of mind ?The honesty check. Are you entering because the setup is here — or because the last trade stung, you missed a move, or you feel unstoppable after a win? All three feel like confidence in the moment. All three are how accounts die. If the last trade is still in your chest, don't check this.
Not chasing a miss, repairing a loss, or riding a win.
